Under the authority of the Chief of the Defence Staff, the French Cyber Command (COMCYBER) is an operational command that brings together all of the cyber defence forces under a joint forces authority. Since 2017, its mission has been to defend the information systems of the French Ministry of Defence, and to design, plan and conduct military operations in cyberspace. It is also responsible for federating and conducting the cyber actions of the various actors in the ministry. The COMCYBER is led by Major General Aymeric Bonnemaison.
