The association ISSA France Security Tuesday recently launched Lumérique, a citizen and collective movement for the protection of minors online.
Founded by cybersecurity professionals, and now boasting a community of 40 facilitators, the association strives to provide children and teenagers, as well as those around them, from school to family, with the keys to understanding and reflection.
Its goal is to educate and develop young people’s critical thinking skills regarding digital practices and the pitfalls of the “digital world,” starting with its economic model.
Lumérique brings together a variety of original educational initiatives that it implements in schools and organizations alike. It offers workshops and also designs dedicated content. It is the publisher of the best-selling book “Les As du Web” for children, the books “Envie de Cyber” and “La cyber, je gère” for teenagers and young adults, and “Snake News,” a manga aimed at combating misinformation and promoting digital hygiene among middle school students.
