About us

Computer Security and Hacking

The development of new technologies has introduced new types of dangers for companies and end users. Most of the time, attackers aim to gain full access to a victim’s private systems, an operation also known as ‘being root’ or ‘W00t.’

Attackers are then able to use the compromised system as their own. Consequences can be dramatic. Computer Security includes all the techniques, skills and methodologies to ensure the integrity of automated information systems of all kind, and protect them against threats.

What is “hacking”

Hacking can be defined as the passion of people which are looking for programs bugs, subvert systems, but also countermeasures for users versus risks and/or intrusions. It is also a willingness to share information publicly, and give to everyone the opportunity to understand, learn and participate in the development of new security technologies. In it’s core values, hacking works toward transparency.

What is The leHACK

Initiated in 2003 by a group of individuals under the name HackerzVoice (now HZV), France’s first Hackers Syndicate, leHACK has become the oldest and largest hacker event in France.

This renowned gathering brings together hackers of all backgrounds and expertise, fostering collaboration through lectures and challenges. Attendees, regardless of their skill level, come to exchange knowledge on the latest advancements in IT security, enhancing their understanding and capabilities.

To ensure quality and accessibility, leHACK hosts numerous English-speaking conferences and workshops, attracting a diverse and global audience.

Starting as a small gathering, leHACK has grown exponentially, drawing participants ranging from amateurs to seasoned professionals. Each year, we welcome more distinguished speakers from France and around the world. With an annual attendance of approximately 3,500 participants, leHACK continues to thrive as a cornerstone of the hacking community.

Objectives

Educate the general public, giving everyone the means to understand, master the challenges and risks of a modern lifestyle incorporating in it new technologies.

Demystify techniques and secrets of the “pirates” to empower a rational and measured approach to issues of internet safety, provide the necessary elements, technical or otherwise, to protect themselves.

Participate to the protection and defense of internet services and software.

Disseminate knowledge of most advanced techniques outside restricted areas of the specialists.

We promote free exchange of information, and provide a useful platform for enthusiasts and professionals as security. Allowing professionals to exchange the latest advances in computer security. Bring together, enthusiasts and professionals, looking for advanced skills.

Our main purpose is to strive for better understanding and continuous improvement of security systems using new technologies.
