Led by the Deputy Secretary General for Digital Affairs, the Digital Transformation Directorate (DTNUM) of the Ministry of the Interior and Overseas Territories designs and implements the digital strategy across all public policies. Supported by the Ministry of the Interior’s Orientation and Planning Law (LOPMI) of January 24, 2023, DTNUM oversees digital governance and guides the ministry’s digital transformation, leveraging new technologies to improve services for citizens and equip staff with top digital tools.

DTNUM’s missions are:
– Lead and manage digital governance, enhance the ministry’s attractiveness in the digital domain, and support key projects like the Future Radio Network and digital identity ;
– Encourage innovation, promote data-driven approaches, and improve service accessibility. The directorate operates a Digital Innovation Hub to incubate and support innovative projects ;

– Develop the Digital Work Environment (ENT) for both central and regional staff, promote teleworking, and foster collaborative work practices ;

– Build and maintain the secure infrastructure needed for the continuity of government operations, including in crisis situations. The directorate oversees the inter-ministerial cloud platform Pi ;

– Support various ministry departments in their digital transformation, enabling rapid development to meet new requirements for both staff and citizens.
In a competitive environment, DTNUM innovates to improve the workplace for its employees and supports their skill development with a variety of training programs. Currently with over 700 staff, DTNUM is set to receive significant human and financial reinforcements over the next five years. To attract talent, the directorate is developing new recruitment approaches, including apprenticeship programs and extended internships.
