What is leHACK Kids ?

leHACK Kids is a day organized alongside leHACK for young people from 8 to 16 years old in order to allow them to develop and learn through various creative and fun workshops.

Vast areas will be covered during this day ranging from programming, electronics, chemistry and basics on computer hacking or security (but not only)…

No technical prerequisite is necessary to participate in the workshops and the participation of a young person is not conditioned by the fact that a member of their family participates in leHACK.

Participation in leHACK Kids is free for registered participants, and will take place on Saturday, 2023 july the 1st, at La cité des sciences et de l’industrie in Paris. PLEASE NOTE, this year LeHACK will take place on June the 30th and july the 1st, but LeHACK Kids will only take place on Saturday.

Call For Papers

Even if the agenda is already on track, we are always looking for innovative workshops to complete it or for the following years … If you have an idea and even if the preparation time remaining seems too short do not hesitate to contact us and submit it !!

Keep in mind that we currently deliver the workshop only in french.

The workshops are intended for groups of 4 to 6 people from 8 to 16 years old and should be about 45 minutes long.

The participants are all considered “novices” and are separated by age groups but “options” must be arranged to interest a less “novice” participant on the subject.

The workshops must be fun. For this we can imagine workshops in the form of a game or allowing the production of an object.

The goal is to allow children to understand, experiment and create while having fun.

Here are the different themes offered (without limitation):

  • Small electronic circuits (soldering, components, useful final object <5 €)
  • Object of everyday life (no appliances!)
  • Physics
  • Chemistry
  • Introduction to RaspPi or Arduino
  • Hacking / Evolution / Toys hacking
  • Recent technologies (beware of the pitfall of the theoretical excess)
  • Hardware (under the hood of a pc or other object)

This is a list of ideas already realized in the past, some people come back from year to year and we would like to have new ones !! If you have another idea for a workshop, don’t hesitate to send it to us and if you think you can also supervise it, please apply.

How to apply?

Please note that the workshops have to be delivered in french as today.
