Using OSINT to track illegal supply chains: a use-case on cocaine smuggling 🇬🇧
We’ll go through different ways in which OSINT can be useful to cover a highly secretive business: cocaine shipments across continents. Here you don’t have any documents, bills of lading or online tracking data. Where do you start? Being a complex system, it requires you to go into many different directions and go around the concealing techniques they used. We’ll also talk about how to make your research into a comprehensive report, figure out when to stop when meeting a dead-end and collaborate with other experts for the areas you don’t fully master.

Liselotte MAS is an investigative journalist based in Paris, France and working for Le Monde visual investigations. She previously worked for France 24 Observers and France Televisions Révélateurs. She is also president of OpenFacto, a French NGO promoting OSINT and offering high quality trainings for journalists, activists, academicians and lawyers.
